About me
Hi I'm Sam, a freelance award winning filmmaker running "Novel Visuals" in Devon, specilising as a Director Of Photography (DOP), videographer and Editor.
Experienced on a large range of projects from narrative, music and promotional productions in and beyond the South West, I'm passionate about history and creating unique content to share places, products and moments with a creative flair to capture your audiences interest.
Commissioned by the Exeter Phoenix, Watershed and the BFI Film Academy, my latest film project, "On The Same Earth", explored Celtic and Saxon lives in 7th century Devon, showcasing character perspectives with camera movement and traditional languages, Old English and Cornish. It premiered at Two Short Nights Film Festival at two sold out screenings along with this year's commissions and recently became an award winner for best fantasy and best costume at the RED MOVIE AWARDS in France.
Experienced in operating my own steadicam, using a range of cameras, DJI gimbals, wireless follow focus systems and lighting.
My latest music shoot for YOVA has reached 57K views on YouTube and always open for unique projects, local busineses, musicians to work with so feel free to get in touch.
